Lit Revue #7

What a night! This space was like a cacoon we entered where we shared poetry, stories and music. The audience was fantastic! Thanks to Gessy, Tamar and Room 31 for hosting Lit Revue #7. By the way, I love what the lights did for my hair, and yes, we were all on fire! Read what the host had to say:

Digging Press/Digging Through The Fat

Last night was an answer to my dreams. My hope is that The Lit Revue becomes a vibrant celebration of creativity, experimentation, and vitality because that’s what art should be. And Last night, WOW!

Much thanks to our amazing readers and performer: (from left to right) Esther Alix (@esthercristinaalix); Gessy Alvarez (host); Summer J. Hart ( @summerjhart); Glynnis Eldridge (@glynnnnnis); Margaret R. Sáraco (@mrsaraco); Mendeleyev (@mendeleyev ).

And special mil gracias to @room31nyc and @tamareisenman

Quill & Parchment Review

Grateful to receive this review of my book, If There Is No Wind, by Michael Escoubas in Quill and Parchment.

“…Of the 71 poems in the collection, I can’t think of a single poem I did not like. Each poem is substantive in content. Each is drawn, not from the perspective of privilege, but from a treasure chest of experience; no ivory tower here. This is down-to-earth, grab you where you live writing. Yet, she does it in a way that makes you want more of her insights.”

Ovunque Siamo Reviews My Book

Mark Spano’s review of my book, If There Is No Wind, appeared in Ovunque Siamo. Read the review, order a copy of my book, and dive into the rest of the issue.

“Sáraco’s reminiscences are warm, but they are not without portent regarding a past that we might idealize at our own risk…As a reader of poetry, I am reassured by Sáraco’s enviable optimism and her generous words of caution. And, possibly it is these kinds of ephemeral remarks that we hold longest in our hearts and minds.”—Mark Spano, Ovunque Siamo Winter 2023. https://ovunquesiamoweb.com/winter-2023/
